Don't know much about the CB8 other than that it is an extremely expensive
software for database.
Scid < http://scid.sourceforge.net/ > is good enough to satisfy everyone, who is
looking for a professional standard database.
It is also available for both Windows and Linux platform.

If you haven't tried it yet than I suggest you try it atleast once before
thinking about buying any database software.
