The real turning point in game 8 was Rebel's choice of h2-h4 instead
of Ke2 (this somewhere around move 24 or 25). Quite a battle would have ensued
most likely ending in a draw. Have you looked into what may have happened
in the event Rebel played Ke2? Will Rebel 10 be further tweaked as a result
of these 40/2 against Anand so it could play a move like Ke2?

I think chess players will still purchase the programs of the future.
A private super GM looking over your shoulder as you play through games
sounds appealing. When do folks think the micros will hold their own
when playing super GMs? Has anyone made a prediction like this in the past
about micros?
