The radius at the moment is less than 14 plies in midgame. With such a radius
they can play many types of positions very well. But they won't be able to beat
even a player with rating of 2400 in closed positions like Classical King's
Indian (and that's why they avoid such openings). I mean positions in which
long-term planning is important. For such positions I doubt even if 30 plies
suffices without more chess knowledge.
