Maybe the issue of winning against computers has got something to do with age, also. I don't want to show disrespect against older players (e.g. just look how Bronstein used to smash computers at AEGON) but younger players of my generation seem to perform much better against computers relative to their FIDE ELO performance in comparison with that of "old battleships". Of course there certainly are numerous exceptions, esp. with strong GMs who might be just as flexible in adapting an anti-computer style as younger ones, but for e.g. 2300 ELO players youth and familiarity with computers might be worth some 100 performance points. Maybe the next Rebel challenge should be issued to GM Peter Leko to test my hypothesis. Moritz
