Ernie, Tou should check out my website for a review of CB8. Here are a couple of things to consider: 1) CB8 uses MDI, which means each board has its own window, and visually, does not appear as a child window. What this means is that if you have many games open at once, things can get a little confusing. I think this is what many people object to. 2) Stability-wise, people have had some trouble if they are running win SE/ME/9X. If you run XP or 2000, you should have no problems. This is something that is commmon to CA as well. Both programs are very heavcy users of system resources, and earlier versions of windows have some limitations in this regard. See my article on OS choice and chess programs in my articles section. 3) Visually, CB is very impressive, and a huge amount of time has gone into tweaking the appearance of the program. It is extremely easy on the eyes. Bob www.chessreviews.com
