It is possible because despite what people think about Chess Master and the many bugs it has and its cheap price. The engine that runs this program is one of the best around. If you do some modifications to the engine you can get Chess Master to be even stronger. I have not found Chess Master to be the strongest programs around but it is up there. And it can beat Rebel and Fritz in short matches. And may in fact be better but in the testing I have done I still show Fritz and Nimzo to be better. But with more games even better settings who knows, its that good.
