I did change the source. I changed "null_min" to 0 and "null_max" to 2. Better would be to just go into Crafty and type "selective 0 2". Which does NOT produce errors. Changing null_min and null_max in the source caused the errors below. > > > >> >>EPD Kit revision date: 1996.04.21 >>unable to open book file [./book.bin]. >>book is disabled >>unable to open book file [./books.bin]. >> >>Crafty v18.15 (1 cpus) >> >>White(1): smpmt 2 >>max threads set to 2 >>White(1): hash 90M >>hash table memory = 48M bytes. >>White(1): hash 98M >>hash table memory = 96M bytes. >>White(1): hashp 48M >>pawn hash table memory = 48M bytes. >>White(1): learn off >>book learning disabled >>result learning disabled >>position learning disabled >>White(1): easy >>pondering disabled. >>White(1): setboard 1r4k1/1q3pp1/r3b2p/p2N4/3R4/QP3P2/2P3PP/1K1R4 w - - >>White(1): go >> clearing hash tables >> time surplus 0.00 time limit 30.00 (3:30) >> nss depth time score variation (1) >>starting thread 1 >> 5-> 0.11 -0.36 1.
