i assume after Bxf5 black exchanged queens and won with bishop vs knight?
obviously, this is a horrible position for white, and should be won for black.
exchanging queens is by far the better move, and will make black work hard for
the win. the general principle would be: when down a pawn, exchange pawns. when
up a pawn, exchange pieces. so Bxf5 is a violation of this principle, and got
punished, as it should :-)
