I don't have any commercial programs (except Palm Tiger), so it's >tough to tell. actually, it's very easy: after Rd8 g7 Rg8 instead of Rd6 g7 Rg6 the rook is badly misplaced on g8. it would be necessary to have a free rook to check the white king from the side when it blocks the pawn advance. in simple terms, the rook is much more mobile on g6 than on g8. that sort of thing should be in the evaluation... aloha martin
