Sharky uses some new ideas, and was not tested on this sort of fast hardware. Due to speed much higher than the author was used to, the program (which allocates whatever memory it wants) exhausted physical memory and started using disk for ram during the matches. There were some occasions where Sharky managed an advantageous position during the games but fell short. It seems that the author has interesting and novel ideas, but perhaps they could use some more development.
