If you could beat Fritz 7 or any of the other current chess programs
consistently, then you would wipe up the floor with your average chess master.
I've played three GMs (including Boris Spassky) , a couple of IMs and a whole
lot of masters over the past 35 years and I can tell you that your average
master is nothing to be afraid of, especially after having your throat torn out
by Fritz or any of the other cyber monsters that are available today. Just
continue to study and play and you will do it!!!
