Many people have been asking me about my Windows CE project. Instead of repeating myself, I would like to answer the two most frequently asked questions here. First, the program will not be a dumbed down version of Stobor. It has been modified to conserve memory, so it doesn't have hash tables or caches. This memory-friendly version runs about 1/3 as fast as the "full" version, but otherwise, it's the same program that has competed respectably at tournaments and on ICC. Second, the person I'm working with tells me he's done with the graphical user interface and he's allocated this week to testing it. I don't know when or how he plans to release it. I do know that it will cost ~30 US$. I haven't seen what he's done, so I'm not in a position to comment about it. Cheers, Tom
