If Quest had won, would the ad copy have been the same? ;-) Or would we see "World Champion!" stamped on all of the new boxes? I do not see it as an issue of lying. I see it as an issue of typical marketing hype. Basically, I take everything any chess program company says with a grain of salt. If you just believed what you read on the boxes, all the programs are the world's best and ready to pummel Kasparov at the first opportunity. Reality is somewhat different.
