My opinion is that you are running toward a beautiful pool of pure, clear -
SAND!! In other words, a mirage, Joshua.
First, you have asked VERY specific questions, regarding a multitude of software
("Old Programs"), with a large variable of hardware platforms.
And then, you'd like to find the settings necessary to match them up with their
SSDF testing strength, and equate that to run on your 500Mhz laptop!
Well, as the Church Lady used to say - "Isn't that Special?!"
In my opinion, what you're asking for - your basic proposal - is impossible.
