With book off, Crafty will play Qxg7 at any reasonable time control. Are you _sure_ Qg7 loses? Black's king is not very healthy here either and is going to live in the center. It becomes a question of breaking open the center by white vs using the g-file for black... Obviously if white is passive, the g-file is a potential problem. But the king in the center is _also_ a problem for black.
