It would be nice to subsidize those that need it. Even better if everyone could get free transportation. Probably the professionals don't need free transportation, because they will earn money with the exposure. If it took off with a hundred entrants (all of which they would mow through with ease anyway making them look even better) the stir would really be big, I think. After all, a record of 87:3:5 sounds a lot more impressive than 7.5 out of 9 points. And against amateurs that is what we will see. ;-) Another funny thing about a lot of amateur engines is that we will see a few rare stunning upsets (for a single game).
