I think the professional programs (if they enter) would pay their own way.
After all, if you get a giant pile of amateur programs, that is nothing but a
bunch of pop-up targets for the big boys [for the most part].  A huge list of
wins would be a big promotional advantage for them, I think.  They would get
lots of exposure if the thing actually did take off with a huge number of
entrants.

I'll bet you could get TV coverage in Canada.  This could be the biggest
promotional bonanza ever.  Who knows, if it got enough attention, you might even
scare up some big iron from the New York region. ;-) OK, I'm dreaming.

Anyway, I think it would be really cool if it could be a stupendous event.

It would be nice if the new kids on the block could show up (even if only for a
good beating).  After all, if you don't expect to win it will still be a fun
event just to meet everybody.
