Right? >Then, what is the reason to allow null move when less than 7 plies left? Getting to 7 plies happens in the blink of an eye. If you have fewer than 5 pieces, it will be stupendously quick. So you aren't really risking anything. The program will revert to no null moves for the final plies on a sparse board.
