This is misleading. The problem here is that white has a pawn on b2. Without this pawn, it would be draw. BTW. Black could allow white to reach the corner. For example 1...Bf7 2. Kc3 Kc5 3. Kd2 Kd4 4. Kc1 Kc4 5. Kb1 Kb3 6. Ka1 But white gets mated ... Especially with rook pawns and one knight pawn of the side without the B, many positions where the weaker side gets into Zugzwang and must move his knight pawn are possible. When the weaker side has no rook pawn, there are still positions possible where it is not a draw (and the K is in reach of the corner, and it would be draw without the knight pawn). Regards, Dieter
