You act as if he owes it to you, or that it is your right to recieve a new
version. Ed is well within his right to call the whole thing off and never
release another version of Rebel. Ed has already said that he hasn't been
posting on CCC much because he is hard at work on Rebel XP. To me it's saying
something when you don't have time to browse a message board because you're
spending all of your time working on improving your chess engine. That's hard
work, and he is willing to do that work and produce a fine product. If people
like you are going to do nothing but complain, that certainly isn't going to
encourage Ed to get it done faster, or to spend his time working his hardest. I
think it's quite selfish to make such a demand on someone who has and is working
their tail off for you. You say things like "put some pep in your step", and I
have a feeling that Ed probably works harder on Rebel than you ever work. Even
if you do, it's rude to make a post like your previous one. If I were Ed, I'd be
witholding your copy of Rebel until I got an apology, but you're lucky that Ed
is more professional than myself and you'll get your copy just like everyone
else when he is finished. I have a feeling Rebel XP is going to be well worth
the wait, so just be patient and chill out. You whining and making demands isn't
going to help anything.
