That's a good idea, as a simple web search doesn't turn anything up, either
about Skinner's bravery or about his charitable works. There is a lot on the web
about a "Bronze medal for/of bravery", but I can't find any record of one ever
being awarded to anyone named Skinner. Also, I've looked at the Annual Reports
of the Edmonton Food Bank for 2000 and 2001, but there is no Peter Skinner
listed among the supporters (although there are a couple of other Skinners
mentioned).

I was going to point out that there's nothing about a Certificate of
Commendation from the Governor General of Canada being awarded to anyone named
Skinner, but you mention above that it hasn't yet happened. I look forward to
the links you post about this.
