Andrew, Mogens... Both from Europe. Both with negative attitudes about a computer chess tournament in North America. I say forget about them altogether. Make this the North American Championship, and if you're outside of North America, you're not allowed to participate. Heck, I think the idea of making this a "rest of the world" championship sounds good, just exclude the Euros. They seem to have a negative attitude about it, so just cut them out of the loop and then we can get on with OUR tournament. I would look forward to that kind of event, maybe even more so than if the Euros showed up. I don't care to meet people with these kinds of negative attitudes. I'd much rather meet people who are excited about being there and who were excited out it from the beginning. Screw what the Euros (or anyone else outside North America) thinks, and let's get on with organizing the event. Leave them out of it, since they are apparently too immature or selfish or greedy or hateful or whatever the case is to participate for the good of everyone. Russell
