Probably because you do not know about a similar story which took place last
year (or was it in 2000?).
This year's offer looks so similar to what happened already that it is not
strange that people get suspicious now.
Anyway, nothing serious can be organized by individuals over the Internet.
People have to meet in person or be backed by bigger organizations/companies. It
is at this time too easy to fake your identity on the Net. That's the lesson
that I have learned.
