The next small step would be the pc-boardcompbility to the Chess 232-board. Nimo 98 and Shredder 2 are also compatible to the pc-board. It really makes a differenz to play on a real chessboard. The quality of your play increases when you don't have to look at the screen. This is the reason why I only use programs with compability to one of the pc-boards. For me this is the worst thing in this stupid Fritz 5-autoplayerdiscussion, when programers don't want to support the autoplayer 232 anymore. Most of the programs wich are supporting the autoplayer 232 are compatible to the chess 232-board to. The only exeption I know is the CS Tal. To make the winboard compatible to the autoplayer 232-standard would be a step in the right direction. I also hope, that the ChessBase-team stop there behavior and will publish there autoplayer. I think the best way to get this is to give all other programs the autoplayersupport (pc-board support) and Fritz will lose there costumers because it will be more interresting to play against the other programs.
