There is not a chance in the world that the following is forged. I sent my original request in via a link on the Governor General's site, and it was included at the bottom of this email. Since I am potentially violating the copyright of the person who sent me this email, I would like to ask that you not harrass her, and please accept my word that this is true. I deleted the phone numbers, but I left her email address. Going back to my efforts to check out Kevin Strickland's story, Kevin said that Peter's name had appeared in the Edmonton Sun very recently. This does not appear to be true, but that's just Kevin's story, it has nothing to do with this fire. So I can believe that Peter's name would not have appeared in the paper. I couldn't find evidence of the 2001 award on the Governer General's site, but it's possible that the data there is incomplete, or that they don't keep track of that kind of award, which is fine. So as of this point, anyone has to be willing to believe that Peter Skinner, at least, does exist. I am not sure if Kevin owes Peter an apology for dragging in Peter Skinner's personal details. If he doesn't, then I do. bruce ------------------- From: <Sandra.Mulligan@edmonton.ca> To: <brucemo@seanet.com> Sent: Monday, July 22, 2002 9:16 AM Subject: June 24, 2002 > Good morning: thank you for your email. > On behalf of Mayor Bill Smith, please be advised that Mr. Peter Ronald > Skinner did pull several people out of a burning structure of June 24, 1999. > > > Thank you, > > Sandra Mulligan > Mayor's Office > 2nd Floor, City Hall > #1 Sir Winston Churchill Square > Edmonton, Alberta T5J 2R7 > Phone: [deleted] > Fax: [deleted] > Email: sandra.mulligan@edmonton.ca
