I ran the following tests with crafty 18.15 on a PIII 1332mhz (slow disk laptop)
It would appear even with only the 4 piece tablebases there is a benefit but as
the time increases the benefit reduces. I would expect the inclusion of 5 piece
tablebases to increase the benefit but again benefit to reduce for longer
games/faster hardware. I have not tested this yet.
(B) has the 4 piece tablebases - I will at some point be re-running the
experiment with all 5 piece tablebases but I have not finished the downloads
yet. I also mean to experiment with my desktop which has a faster disk to see
the difference there.

** I have noticed that when playing crafty v crafty learning increases the
number of draws as the match goes on.
