I agree that the interface is very important.  I am still looking for a computer
chess game that I like to play as much as I like to play on a real board.  I
find that to play a serious game with Fritz I have to take out a board.  I don’t
know why that is, but I think I play better over a real board than on a
computer.  I would look at getting CM9000 just for it’s visuals if it ran on
Windows2000.  I read somewhere that it did not.

I don’t think it would be very hard for Chessbase to throw in a very
high-resolution realistic looking3D board and pieces. Hope they are reading this
:)
