And that is before it switches to 'beginner mode' (after 10 moves); it must be the weakest chess program I've seen since the days of the ZX Spectrum (early 1980s). I'll write to the authors. You are perfectly free to write a weak chess program; however, a program which plays illegal moves doesn't play chess.
