HI Harald

i tried to use 128 mb ram hash(total ram is 512mb in each computer running at
1467 mhz each;) for 60 moves in 10'(tony hedlund says tht you can uncheck the
tablebase box in the engine parameters)

to which directory do i install the tablebases that come on chesstiger cd rom(i
assume i just copy from the cdrom to the required folder.) and how do i set the
path for it in winxp? so that the pogramme knws where to look for it

i got an email from tony hedlund to say that any odinary null modem cable wont
work, they at the SSDF they use a special cable for autoplaying between 2
computers.

i am using an ordinary 9 pin null modem cable with pins 1 and 2 crossed(as per
the advice i received from you by email a couple of weeks ago, connected between
the 2 serial ports of my computer(however i cant tell if these are com 1 or com
2 and the the chesstiger window asks to check one of these)

rajen

thanks for the help
