Preface: When I asked how one could become a tester in Thorsten's CSW he responded with a longer post in German. For me the most important point was his report of his own entry decades ago. He said he seen a program and something interesting. So he wrote letters to the programmer. Letters of 10 or 20 pages. "The first surely went directly into the trash", he wrote. But he continued to write his observations. Suddenly he came into contact with the programmer when he answered for the first time. - - - So I should do the same. "Just take one of your favorite (?) countries and take there a programmer you like, test his program, report your observations and perhaps he will repond to you...." Now, this is not what I would think could be a good way for many young interests. Let me make a few proposals for a more rational testing proceeding. Proposal: Say in CCR Fernando opens a new chapter for programmers who search testers. No matter if they are professionals or amateurs. Then interested programmers could advertise that they and whom they searched for. Say they search testers for the category 'statistical performance of different books' or 'the games with the prog playing with or against isolated pawns'. Then I would be much more interested to make my choice. Because this way my personal talents could be tested. I think the principle is so easy that I must not give you more examples. We should open CC and invite many more to participate than just those few sworn friends around each programmer. This way a basic safety could be better kept. And for the testers side we'll see completely new talents appear, new experts. Thanks for your attention. Rolf Tueschen
