Franz, You need to create a Thread to read the input while the engine is thinking in the main Thread. Unfortunately TP7 is 16 bit and doesn't do Threads so you need to upgrade to Delphi 2 - 6 which all handle threads. You should find that it's *really* easy to convert the program to Delphi. You can even download a personal version from www.borland.com so see if it works. Regards, Steve Maughan
