I am trying to build a web opening book. (Really.) I have my own working database format and can generate web page output with statistics. I actually started this project around 5 years ago but didn't have enough web space available to make it worthwhile. Now that web space is cheaper to get I have resumed the project. The biggest problem of course is getting a source of good chess games. A few months back someone published links to "crapbase", which was just an online archive of games. I downloaded the zip files, but not all the files unzipped properly even though I have the latest version of Windows PKZip. The links to crapbase no longer seem to work, although they might be similar to this page that I found: http://www.uib.no/people/pfvaf/chesslib/ The download links there don't work for me either. I will take any source of games that I can get. John Coffey
