I did not try to compare the top programs in that way but I suspect that the program that can beat humans in less moves is not the best program in regular games. If someone is interested then it is possible to do a tournament between chess programs and weak players when the target of the programs should be to mate as fast as possible when the target of the weak players should be to lose in more moves. The program that checkmate in the smallest average number of moves can be declared as the winner. Uri
