I had the opportunity of trying one some time ago. I found the display quality unsatisfactory, mainly because of poor contrast/brilliance and a piece set design that makes it difficult to distinguish clearly the various pieces. However, I have also tried the Touch Chess and I consider it has the same display quality problem. I tried a game with the Cosmic and it seems to play reasonably well, but I'm not a strong player. The unit is definitely heavy considering its size, and its operation is a little ackward because of poorly implemented commands via the four buttons. What did the other person mean by "the unit has yet to castle". The one I tried did castle without problem.
