The answer is yes >and has been proven time and time again by the Programs. Fritz is not near Kramnik's "level" therefore behind in strength. You take the top 10 GM's in the world currently and the best program, and I can guarantee the computer will not win the event. If the human has a bad series of games that is entirely possible. Humans tire. Computers do not. Comparing a computer to a human is like comparing apples and oranges. They might see most of the same moves, but playing styles will always go to the humans. You can hit a wall with a sledgehammer a million time to take the wall down, but if you hit it wrong a piece of the wall is going to take your eye out. When have you ever seen a computer lose a game and afterwards state it was due to mental fatigue? :)
