I am not a very good player(fide elo 2020) and from my experience it is not
truth.
In most of the blitz games(5 minutes per player) the king has been checkmate or
there is a draw or one side resigns because he knows he has no chance
(For example if my opponent has at least 1 minute and I have only my king
against king and queen then I resign).
