Georg,

I avoided the Mxxx series only because I preferred the larger screen of the
older Palm and Handspring units. (My daughter has a Palm IIIxe. My wife has a
Visor Deluxe.)

But to answer your question. Yes. An M105 is plenty fine. Even the slowest
of Palms (with ChessGenius or Chess Tiger loaded) plays chess at a level far
higher than any dedicated chess handheld that I know of.

Also, with a Palm-based unit, games are automatically recorded, PC interfacing
is there. Screen quality is quite good even on monochrome units.

A Palm compatible and a good chess program is (in my opinion) the best way to go
for a handheld chess unit.
