I wonder what Amir/Shay have to say. I am curious about how Junior knew the move was the best. At any rate I think Junior is possibly lucky, but also must be good. Just a big {brainless} boost in passed pawn value would cause it to get crunched most of the time, so I think something else is at play. Perhaps they have a recognizer that knows *when* to boost the value of passed pawns. In any case, it was a breathtaking move and I still marvel at it more than any other move I have seen a chess program play.
