Georg, I think Eduard's mate in 11 is correct (in the sense, that it is at least a mate in 11). If I analyze Eduard's line from back to front, I get mate in 11 at the root rather fast. Also, I cannot find an improvement over the line. After 2 or 3 moves, Yace reached the search depth, that should enable it to find a shorter mate, if one was possible. For the root position, I did not wait long enough. Where is Heiner? Regards, Dieter
