After you do what you want to the games in the new database, you can >then export the games back to a PGN file. what i do, ex. gm2600.pgn from hyatt ftp, make new scid database with same name. gm2600. then, open in under scid. then. click on import pgn files - gm2600.pgn to scid . after scid import gm2600.pgn, i do changes,etc. if want to change back to pgn, i export scid gm2600 database to newly named mymodified2600.pgn (so not confuse with original gm2600.pgn) guess need to change pgn type file to scid database format so scid operate faster. regards maria
