The "Export" operation is the only way I know to convert games in a Scid
database into a PGN file.  Shane Hudson (the author of Scid) occasionally reads
this forum, so maybe he'll see this thread and add the definitive answer to your
question.

The biggest reason that most operations are a little more difficult in Scid than
they are in the commercial database products is that Scid isn't really a native
Windows application.  Scid is written in Tcl/Tk and is interpreted by a Windows
Tcl/Tk interpreter.  Therefore, if Tcl/Tk doesn't provide a facility that other
Windows applications use, Scid won't be able to do it.

The price of being a cross-platform application...
