Subject: new Quicktest results

Author: Mike S.

The Quicktest is intended to test the the combinative skills during quick
analysis (max. 1 minute per position), in 24 positions of tactical nature, as
it's required for example when useres quickly browse through their latest chess
server games, to find all the difficult tactical things they might have been
missed. Or the blunders. :o)

The XLS file which can be downloaded (MS-Excel or -Viewer required) now contains
new test results, mostly from an Athlon@1.2 GHz. G98(5) among the results =
Genius 98 (~5) btw. Of course also the positions themselves are available in the
usual data formats.

Boredom warning! :o)) Except that, I don't have anything new on the homepage.
But if you haven't been there yet, you may want to take a look at:

- collection of important Man vs. Machine games in the Replay Zone
- gallery of box cover graphics from old chess software (see museum)
- report from the "Oldies II" shufflechess tournament, with chess computers

(among other things)

Regards,
M.Scheidl
