I think that your situation is a shame here, because you would clearly be a
valuable addition to their chess servers.

But I also understand the FICS position.  The admins (who work for free) get
tired of chasing down anonymous whinging twits.  So, to combat it, they simply
eliminate the major cause.

You are the exception to the rule.  In general, the anonymous email accounts are
a pain in the posterior.  I get hundreds of spam emails from them, and they
cause most of the problems on message boards.  For some people [however], it is
the only reasonable access that they have.  Hence, the problem.

You are paying for the sins of others, despite your innocence.
