What would be required to put something like this together? What kind of hardware, connection, etc.? Even if it's not something huge, it would still be a place for people to join and play computer vs. computer matches or tournaments without the hassle of registering for a free week on ICC or waiting months to get your FICS account. I can't even begin to form an estimate of how much bandwidth and processing power it would require for something like this. How many users do you plan for? There are several hundred engines, but it's highly unlikely that they will all be online playing at once. I think it's more likely that it will be empty most of the time and occassionally have a handful of people in it, but I could be wrong. I think it would be a nice thing to have even if it wasn't used an awful lot. It sounds like a good idea. If someone can take us to the next step and get some requirements nailed down, then we can move on from there and see if it's possible. Russell
