Yes it's for playing Crafty at a lower strength without Crafty moving instantaneously - thus the "human" can study the board for a bit before the computer move. It's still in beta mode, I just added the option of "md 9999" which signals an an auto adapter in the delay move function - it will use the time it normally would as if thinking at full strength - but the search would stop at the designated depth. The delay time will vary automatically as the game progess - generally decreasing as the game wears on. I'm also thinking of adding a a user set flag for the book - that is , if computer is in book, the player would have the option of having the computer move instantly or on a delayed basis. That's a good idea you have - I can see the merits. Mike
