What computer program serves best yet inexpensively at endgames? There are 3 that come to mind: Crafty with endgame tablebases (free), Shredder 6 (claims high endgame performance) or Fritz 6 (cheaper). Can someone clarify what tablebases Shredder has built-in compared to vanilla Fritz. When studying endames, would these programs be able to find good lines or refutations reliably or do computers still make unreliable estimations.
