Tnaks for all your help. Today I got many emails. People want to give me new email adresses, give their word to administrators, that I would be no prob, give other useful hints, etc. No doubt, I could get an account there (there are more free email adresses, than FICS knows of, anyway). BTW. I only intend to use it for chatting/kibitzing, anyway. But the intention of my post was to show, that their policy in this regard is doubtful. Because I have written a chess engine, and for this reason know quite a few people from the "CC-scene", I get much support. If I would be a silent CC fan only, I probably wouldn't. I never got any answer from emails to FICS and FICS administrators. Now they even don't allow me to log in as guest anymore (which was sufficient for me). So, the suggestion - log in as guest and ask an administrator - ... Cheers, Dieter
