A computer may also see a "deep draw combination" where after a sequence of odd looking moves it can achieve a three fold repetition. I think that experience shows us that between highly skilled players of any sort, it is easier to obtain a draw than a win. To assume that a highly skilled player must always win against another opponent (even 200 ELO below) is an unlikely assumtption, I think, especially when we are talking about 2800 verses 2600 (or thereabouts). With an ELO difference of 200 points, the inferior player will still get 1/4 of all the points in a match (on average, of course). So I think it highly unlikely that _any_ player can blank a strong computer opponent in a long match.
