Sometimes it is forgotten that ratings involves a comparison of strenght coming
from games, that is to say, from fights between two opponents. So the issue of
"how much time" is tricky. If you get more time but your opponent, as must be,
also get more, it is not clear how much, if at all, ratings poits can be got. I
mean, if a program is 2000 againts Joe in 40/30 minutes, probably it will be
still be around the same 2000 plaing 40/90 minutes againts the same Joe. Of
course you can consider any poll from which ratings comes as a kind of
collective Joe.
