First question: do you have the patch? There was a problem with adjourning and
resuming swiss tournaments, particularly if you adjourned one in between rounds,
that could cause the tournament files to get corrupted.

Secondly, when you started the tournament, immediately after creating it, did
you press the "Auto" button? If so, then this means that you want to
"automatically" play all games, and that also includes games with human
participants. The game(s) might started while you were not watching, and you
lost on time.
